Textile Technologist

Scott and Charters develop and produce luxury knitwear using only the finest quality natural fibres. Working closely with our design & technical team we produce collections incorporating updated classics with more fashionable pieces using innovative stitch textures and patterns.

We currently have a vacancy for a Textile Technologist which is a significant supportive role for the Scott & Charters team, liaising with and providing technical advice to design, marketing, purchasing and production staff.

The role will be responsible for quality control, ensuring products meet exacting requirements and problem solving where required to ensure our quality is second to none.  Raw material and product testing, reporting on all technical and technology related activity, technical trials and continuous improvement are all active parts of the role. Compliance and sustainability will also be part of the role to support documentation control and communication of great sustainable practice.

To be successful you will have experience in a textile manufacturing environment.  Knowledge in using a CAD based design system, would be advantageous but not essential. 

You will be highly motivated, quality focused - showing attention to detail and have a drive to make a difference.
